You can tube the spring and go under the town.
The owner of the bar made a fishing hole in the floor

This is the fishing hole and you can watch tubers go by.
The owner had to put a cover over the fishing hole since tubers
would come in at night and steal his liquor!

Leaving Fairbanks headed to Denali National Park

The Road to Anchorage is known as the George Parks Highway.
This is a memorial to him on the side of the road.

We stopped by Skinny Dicks on the way to Denali National Park

Interesting but not our cup of tea!

This is the Tatana River in the town of Nenana on the Parks Hwy.

The Nenana Ice Classic involves a wooden tripod that is placed
on the frozen river. Everyone bets on the date and time that the
Spring Thaw allows it to go into the river. The winner gets the pot.
We bought 4 tickets.

This is the tripod ready to be placed this winter! The earliest it has
ever gone downstream is April 20th and the latest is May 20th.

Our hotel room in the Denali Area

On any given day there is only a 30% chance you will see
Denali. The top of the mountain creates it's own weather at over
20,000 feet so very difficult to see the summit 2 out of 3 days.

Rafters on the River.

Leaving our hotel on our way to see Denali at 7am

out first glimpse of the mountain was partially obscured by the clouds

etchy walked the trial along the Nenana River

back to the park in the late morning to see the mountain. More
